Cooler Master is a computer hardware manufacturer from Taiwan. Founded in 1992, the company is renown as one of the popular aftermarket brands for computer chassis, PSU, coolers, cooling pads, and other accessories.

Alongside the retail business, Cooler Master is also a cooling solution OEM vendor for many major brand names of computer industry including nVIDIA (VGA cooler), AMD (CPU cooler), and EVGA (motherboard heatsinks). GIGABYTE Technology Co., Ltd.

Established in 1986, its major customers include custom boutique PC manufacturers such as Alienware and Falcon Northwest. Google recently revealed they use GIGABYTE motherboards in the custom servers. The chairman of the company is Yeh Pei-Cheng. GIGABYTE is considered a Tier 1 motherboard manufacturer along with MSI, ECS and Asustek. They shipped approximately 19 million motherboards in 2008.

Compaq Computer Corporation

Compaq Computer Corporation was an American personal computer company founded in 1982. Once the largest supplier of personal computing systems in the world[1], Compaq existed as an independent corporation until 2002, when it merged with Hewlett-Packard.

The company was formed by Rod Canion, Jim Harris and Bill Murto former Texas Instruments senior managers. The name “COMPAQ” was derived from “Compatibility and Quality”, as at its formation Compaq produced some of the first IBM PC compatible computers. Prior to its takeover the company was headquartered in northwest unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States.
